Spring 2020 Coronavirus Update
While the SIX-MEALS-A-MONTH DONOR CAMPAIGN continues (please see below), the current Caronavirus pandemic has created urgent additional life saving needs. anJie has initiated a “Soap-to-Cope” initiative. Please see this post for details.
anJie LAUNCHES SIX-MEALS-A-MONTH (JUST $5!) DONOR CAMPAIGN.
$5 hardly buys an upscale coffee in the U.S. But thanks to generous matching grants* arranged by NACOEJ and SSEJ, just $5 will provide six meals (typically, a roll, egg, banana, boiled potato, fortified porridge and milk) to dangerously malnourished young children, nursing mothers, and pregnant women as well as to hungry children in Jewish summer programs.
The cost includes food (which often must be purchased at high prices due to frequent shortages), fuel, transportation costs, and preparation.
Where else can your donation — even a modest one — actually help save Jewish lives?
Recurring donations via credit card should be made to NACOEJ.
Unless anonymity is desired, all donors will be recognized on this website.
anJie is not yet itself a 501(c)(3) tax-registered charitable organization to which donations are presumed tax-deductible for the donor. Consequently, anJie recommends that donations be made to either or both of two 501(c)(3) organizations with decades of experience helping the Jewish communities in Ethiopia. The two organizations, albeit independent, collaborate closely with each other and anJie.
BOTH NACOEJ and SSEJ HAVE GRACIOUSLY COMMITTED TO MATCH ALL DONATIONS* IDENTIFIED AS ANJIE-RELATED!
TO TRIGGER THE MATCHING DONATION(S), PLEASE BE SURE TO INDICATE THAT YOURS IS AN ANJIE-AFFILIATED DONATION!
